Don't treat your refill like it owes you money

Your black refill is packed with nourishing butters, which give it that soft, solid, skin-loving texture. That also means it needs a little care when you're setting it up.

A few refills can become soft, crumble or snap if they're pressed or handled too firmly during setup.

The trick is simple: take it slow and handle your refill gently. A little patience goes a long way in keeping your deodorant intact and ready to use.

Don't push the black screw up before you've even refilled

This is the big one. When you're inserting a fresh refill for the first time, you do not need to rotate the black screw upwards at all. None. Zero.
