Employee Engagement & Well Being Workshop at Accenture

In spirit of Earth Day and World Environment Day, Bare Necessities joined hands with Accenture for a powerful series of sustainability themed workshops. 

This session kicked off by spotlighting one of the biggest environmental threats faced today, plastic pollution. In alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 12: Responsible Consumption & Production and SDG 14: Life Below Water, the workshop encouraged participants to reflect their plastic footprint and commit to conscious choices in daily life.

And no workshops of ours are complete with DIYs and this was no less! We did two fun activities to drive home the point. It featured the classic t-shirt into tote bags activity and growing microgreens at home. 

The following workshop was a deep dive into circular economy. Exploring the different concepts of circular economy, this workshop looked at how businesses and individuals alike can adopt circular practices. Thereby,  reducing carbon emissions and landfill waste. It unpacked how reuse, recycling and closed loop systems can reshape our economy and our future. The workshops were tailored to support Accenture’s ESG and Net Zero Goals. Once again for DIYs, we took the participants through two distinct ones. Showcasing how to upcycle waste coffee grounds into a body scrub and how to create bird feeders from plastic bottles. 

These workshops were super interactive, witnessing an enthusiastic crowd being ever willing to participate throughout. Beyond learning, they were about doing, together. When we act together, our power can really change our planet, for the better.
