Apply toothpaste like you normally would and brush away. Once done, wipe down the handle of the bamboo toothbrush and let it dry. Wash them with water and vinegar once every 2 months for thorough cleaning
Once done, there are many ways to ensure the jar doesn’t go waste. Once your toothbrush has reached the end of its life, pluck the bristles and compost the bamboo handle! As of now, a solution for bristles doesn't exist in the Indian market while still ensuring zero waste and ensuring the toothbrush remains accessible to the masses! We are doing immense research on this to bring you a fully compostable bamboo toothbrush. With that said, by investing in our toothbrush, you are eliminating majority of the plastic waste that ends up in our landfills, from the handle, to the grips, to the colours and the various layers. How to use

Apply toothpaste as you normally would and brush away. After each use wipe the handle dry and store upright in a well-ventilated spot — bamboo and moisture aren't great friends. Every two months give it a quick soak in a water and vinegar solution for a deeper clean.

Replace every 2-3 months or when the bristles start to fray, just like any toothbrush.

End of life

When your toothbrush has done its job, here's how to send it off properly.

Pull out the bristles using tweezers or pliers — they're nylon so they can't be composted yet. We know. We're working on it.

The bamboo handle goes straight into your home compost or garden. It breaks down completely, naturally, without leaving anything behind.

On the bristles — a fully compostable alternative that still meets oral hygiene standards doesn't yet exist in the Indian market at an accessible price point. We're actively researching to change that. In the meantime, by choosing this toothbrush you've already eliminated the handle, grip, coatings and packaging from your plastic footprint. That's the majority of the waste. And that matters.

How do I use it?

Exactly like any toothbrush. Apply toothpaste, brush gently in circular motions, rinse. After use wipe the handle dry and store upright in a well-ventilated spot.

How long does it last?

Replace every 2-3 months or when bristles start to fray - same as any toothbrush. Proper drying between uses extends its life significantly.

Should I keep it away from water?

Not away from water - just don't leave it sitting in standing water or enclosed wet spaces. The anti-fungal coating helps but bamboo does best when it can dry between uses. Store upright in an open holder.

Can children use it?

Yes - suitable for children aged 5 and above. The bristles are gentle and the handle is smooth with no sharp edges. Adult supervision recommended for younger children.

Can I travel with it?

Absolutely. Solid, lightweight and compact - ideal for travel. Just make sure it dries properly after use rather than sitting damp in a closed toiletry bag.

How do I compost the handle?

Not yet. The nylon bristles aren't compostable. We know this isn't perfect and we're actively researching a fully compostable bristle alternative that still meets oral hygiene standards at an accessible price point in India.

Almost. By switching to this toothbrush you eliminate the handle, grip, coatings and packaging from your plastic footprint - which is the majority of the waste. The bristles remain the one limitation we're working to solve.

What do I do with the bristles?

Pluck them out and dispose of responsibly. Some recycling programmes accept nylon - check your local dry waste centre.

How many plastic toothbrushes does this replace?

Each of us uses around 300 toothbrushes in a lifetime. Almost all conventional ones end up in landfill or oceans. Every bamboo toothbrush you use is one less plastic one in the waste stream.
