When you click ‘order’ on a festive gift, do you ever wonder what happens next? For our sales team, that single click sets in motion a chain of activities, starting from carefully recording the requests to ensuring every gift bundle is lovingly prepared and delivered on time, in perfect condition.

With Diwali around the corner and Navratri soon after, this is our peak season, where precision, teamwork, and festive cheer come together.

We spoke to Deepti and Meenakshi from our sales team to understand what this festive season looks like from their side of the desk, from changing trends in gifting to handling bulk orders on tight timelines, to some of their favourite eco-friendly gift hampers. Here’s what they had to say:

Changing Trends in Gifting

When asked about the biggest changes this year, Deepti observed that gifting has taken a holistic wellness turn. “People want gifts that contribute to overall well-being, be it healthy edibles, personal care, or lifestyle products. Mental health, fitness, and conscious living are shaping the way people choose.” She also shared how companies are involving employees in the process: “Many organizations now conduct surveys to ask employees what they’d actually like. At the same time, more companies are embracing sustainability as a value, moving away from repetitive mugs and diaries to more meaningful, eco-friendly alternatives.”

Meenakshi agreed, noting that the transition is crystal clear. “We’ve seen people move from loud, firecracker-filled Diwalis to calmer, greener celebrations. Thoughtful, eco-friendly hampers are replacing mass-produced plastic gifts, and sustainable brands like Bare Necessities are making that possible.”

The Heart of It: Coordinating to Deliver on Time

Festive orders often come with high expectations and tight deadlines. Meenakshi recalled one such moment, “Recently, I closed a corporate Diwali order on a tight deadline. I was stressed about whether it would reach on time, but the entire team came together like a dream. Everything went perfectly, and the client absolutely loved the products!”

Deepti also explained how coordination works behind the scenes “From the moment an order is confirmed, the sales team is the single point of contact for the client. Internally, we work with operations, finance, and the manufacturing team to ensure stock availability, timelines, and customization. We never really overpromise, but we rather overdeliver as we usually manage to ship earlier than promised.”

Feedback that Fuels Us

For both Deepti and Meenakshi, hearing back from clients is one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

 “We often see clients coming back to us for future occasions like milestone gifting, Women’s Day, or even personal orders. Many times, someone who has received our gift later approaches us to curate gifts for their own teams or events,” said Deepti.

Meenakshi added, “When clients share their feedback after receiving their gifts, it makes all the late nights of proposals, negotiations, and follow-ups feel worth it.”

Deepti also shared the memory of one of her memorable bulk gifting orders. “A mother came to us because her daughter and son-in-law wanted a zero-waste wedding. She asked us to curate sustainable guest amenities for the wedding. So, we curated baskets of Bare Necessities Goodies that could be used during the event and taken home later, completely waste-free and reusable!”

Is the future of Gifting green?

When asked if sustainable or eco-friendly gifting has seen a rise in demand, Deepti conveyed, “Gen Z is joining the workforce and they’re vocal, climate-conscious, and curious. Organizations are paying attention because employees care about these choices."

Meenakshi was equally certain “It’s a big YES! People are more aware than ever about sustainability and the eco-friendly switch.”
