Our Custom Hampers Found Their Way to Diplomats and Karnataka State Representatives

 At Bare Necessities, customising eco-friendly bulk gifting orders is one of the parts of our work we enjoy the most. Creating sustainable corporate gifts pushes us to slow down, listen closely, and think beyond products, towards intention, material choices, and impact.

This year, we had the opportunity to curate a sustainable festive gifting hamper for the Australian Consulate General in Bengaluru, and it reminded us why thoughtful, low-waste bulk gifting matters to us.

The brief was simple and specific: gifting that felt like Australia. Not loud, not commercial, just meaningful. We began there.

Before selecting products, we started with a feeling. The chosen artwork by an Aboriginal artist became the anchor for the entire hamper. We carried it across key touch-points from packaging to the opening note with a custom message, so the story stayed consistent and respectful.

For us, this was a small but intentional way to acknowledge Australia’s First Nations cultures through design and storytelling.

Every item in the luxury eco-friendly hamper was selected with care:

• Lemon candle

• Macadamia nut chocolate

All these eco-friendly products in the gift hamper represented a blend of culture, craft and festivity.

Macadamias, native to Australia, felt especially fitting, familiar, rooted, and shared across generations. It was a simple way to bring a sense of home into the hamper, without over-explaining it.

Designing around culture always keeps us grounded. The motifs, the colours, the choices, each one had to feel honest and considered. Nothing extra. Nothing forced. The final hamper felt like Christmas, but also like belonging. A gentle exchange between cultures, shaped through detail and care.
