World Wildlife Day 2025 | Sustainable Partnerships

World Wildlife Day 2025 | Sustainable Partnerships

World Wildlife Day just went by earlier this month on March 3rd. It’s a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of wildlife and the need to protect and conserve our planet’s diverse ecosystems.

Bare Necessities' closest connection to wildlife is our name, synonymous with Jungle Book. But on a serious note, we believe in sustainable synergies and are huge believers in meaningful partnerships. We thought it would be apt to share our partnerships with eco-stays that are living in tandem with wildlife, without disrupting their natural habitats.

With vacation time soon, we’re soon going to be travelling. By making conscious decisions as travellers, we can take measures to help protect wildlife and the environment. Here’s how we can help you too!

Eco-friendly accommodations are the way to reduce the environmental impact of travel. These accommodations are characterised by the usage of no plastics, solar or renewable energy usage and a commitment to locally grown, farm to table food culture. Staying at these accommodations support local economies and ensures that tourism is in no way endangering delicate ecosystems that are wildlife abodes.

Bare Necessities aims to contribute to sustainable tourism by providing eco-friendly amenities that align with the values of these conscious accommodations. We aim to create more responsible travel experiences, here’s how we offer it.

  1. Sustainable Amenities at Dolkhar, Leh Ladakh

Against the stunning, picturesque landscapes of Leh Ladakh lies Dolkhar, a prime example of an eco-conscious stay. Bare Necessities provides sustainable amenities that are in harmony with the region’s pristine beauty. From solar powered energy to water conservation initiatives, Dolkhar is redefining luxury through sustainability. Our zero waste products reinforce the overall eco friendly experience, offering guests a stay that respects and preserves the natural habitat.

  1. Bare at Kaav, Kabini:

Kabini is known for the Nagahole Tiger Reserve. In this biodiverse habitat is nestled Kaav Safari Lodge that truly embraces the philosophy of co-existing with nature. Sustainable practices are a part of every aspect of the guest experience, from eco friendly toiletries to waste reduction policies.  Our Bare Necessities products minimise impact and goes hand in hand with Kaav’s commitment to conservation.

  1. Chambal Safari, Chambal Valley:

In the heart of the beautiful Chambal Valley, you will find Chambal Safari that’s surrounded by acres of reclaimed woodland. At this eco-luxury destination, guests can enjoy Bare Necessities amenities. Chambal Safari lets travellers immerse themselves in nature, all while supporting wildlife conservation efforts.

In addition to staying at eco-friendly accommodations, we implore you to support wildlife efforts on the ground. One such organisation is RESQ Charitable Trust that is based in Pune, India. Since 2007, RESQ has been dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife in distress, with a focus on mitigating human-animal conflict. Their work spans a range of species from mammals to birds and reptiles. Many of these animals are injured, orphaned or victims of trafficking. RESQ is also in the process of developing Maharashtra’s largest wildlife rehabilitation centre, which will build their capacity to rescue, treat and rehabilitate many more animals in need.

We’re super proud to be associated with such organisations that are genuinely making a difference in the lives of wildlife and the ecosystem. On World Wildlife Day, let’s slowly head towards a world where human-wildlife coexistence is the norm.
