Rhassoul Dazzle is a handmade cold-processed natural soap bar built around Moroccan Rhassoul Clay — one of nature's most powerful skin purifiers. Formed from volcanic ash and geothermal activity, Rhassoul Clay is naturally rich in silica, magnesium, calcium, potassium and iron — minerals that cleanse, exfoliate and balance skin in a way synthetic ingredients simply can't.

Rhassoul Clay works through a dual mechanism — adsorption attracts impurities and excess oil to its surface like a magnet, while absorption draws them into its porous structure to be rinsed away completely. The result is a natural soap bar that genuinely deep cleanses without stripping.

Sweet orange and cinnamon essential oils give it a warm, citrusy fragrance that makes every wash feel like a spa treatment. A blend of coconut oil, rice bran oil, sunflower oil, olive husk oil and cacao seed butter nourishes and retains moisture so skin feels hydrated, not tight, after every use.

How to use

Wet the bar and your skin. Massage gently onto face or body to build a rich lather. Allow it a moment to work — the clay needs a few seconds to draw out impurities. Rinse thoroughly with water. Store on a well-draining soap dish between uses to extend the bar's life.

What is Rhassoul Clay and why is it special?

Rhassoul Clay is a rare mineral-rich clay formed from volcanic ash and geothermal activity in Morocco. It has been used for over 1400 years as a cleanser and conditioner. Unlike standard clays it works through dual adsorption and absorption — attracting impurities to its surface AND drawing them into its porous structure — giving you a deeper, more thorough cleanse than regular soap bars.

What minerals does Rhassoul Clay contain?

Silica, magnesium, calcium, potassium and iron — all naturally occurring minerals that cleanse, balance and nourish skin. The high mineral content is what gives Rhassoul its distinctive smooth, silky feel and superior cleansing performance.

Is it different from other clay soaps?

Yes. Rhassoul occupies a unique middle ground — more cleansing and mineralising than gentle kaolin clay, but more balanced and less drying than strongly drawing clays like bentonite. It cleanses deeply without aggressively stripping natural oils.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It's primarily formulated for oily, combination and acne-prone skin. If you have sensitive skin we'd recommend our Soothe Operator bar which uses calming calamine and green clay instead. Always patch test before full use.

Is lye safe?

Yes — lye (sodium hydroxide) is used during cold process saponification to create soap but none remains in the final product. The reaction between oils and lye creates soap and naturally occurring glycerin. Read more on our blog.

Is it vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes — 100% vegan and never tested on animals. B Corp certified.

How do I use it?

Wet the bar and your skin. Massage gently to build a rich lather on face or body. Let it sit for a few seconds — the clay needs a moment to work. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Can I use it on my face?

Yes — Rhassoul Clay is gentle enough for facial use and particularly effective for oily and combination facial skin. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Patch test first if you have sensitive facial skin.

How often should I use it?

For oily skin daily use is fine. For combination skin 3-4 times a week is ideal. For normal skin 2-3 times a week alongside a more hydrating bar.

How do I make it last longer?

Store on a well-draining soap dish and keep away from standing water between uses. Letting it dry fully after each wash extends its life significantly.

How long does 75g last?

With proper care and daily use approximately 2 months.

Can I travel with it?

Yes — solid, compact and spill-proof. Perfect for zero-waste travel.

Is the packaging compostable?

Yes — fully compostable packaging. When the bar is done compost the wrapping in your home compost bin. Nothing goes to landfill.

Is the bar itself biodegradable?

Yes — all ingredients are plant-derived and biodegradable. Safe for greywater and septic systems.
