At Bare Necessities, we truly believe that it’s never too early to start raising sustainability superheroes. We have zero waste workshops for kids too! Designed to plant the seeds of eco-consciousness in the most fun, hands-on and age appropriate ways possible.
Kids learn best by doing, not by lengthy lectures or PowerPoints. So we ditch the jargon and turn sustainability into a creative adventure. Through storytelling, crafting and messy, yet meaningful experiments, we show young minds how their everyday choices can make a big difference for the planet.
Our workshops are built around simple ideas that have the potential to create a big impact. We guide kids through:

Storytelling: using characters and stories where waste goes and what we can do about it

Sensory Play: We teach children to make their own natural cleaners, seed bombs or compost jars

Upcycling crafts: Using old t shirts to make tote bags and old plastic bottles as a bird feeder, we help kids turn trash to treasure

Interactive Games: Sorting stations, recycling relays and quiz cards turn learning to play
